Frequently asked questions
Can one slicer be used for raw and cooked meat?
The Food Standards Agency's guidance on E. coli cross-contamination says complex equipment such as slicers and vacuum packers should not be used for both raw and ready-to-eat foods. Buy separate machines.
How are prep machines cleaned?
Most have removable blades, bowls and guards that can be washed. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions and isolate the power first.
Can you deliver and remove the old equipment?
Yes. See delivery options and book removal and recycling of old electrical equipment with the order. Gas and hard-wired equipment must be connected by a suitably qualified engineer.
