Frequently asked questions
Do gas cookers in let property need an annual check?
Yes. Gas appliances in rented property must be installed by a Gas Safe registered engineer and checked every year, with the gas safety record given to the tenant. Electric cookers carry no equivalent duty, which is why most portfolios move to electric at replacement.
What width should we standardise on?
60cm in almost every case. It has the widest model choice, so like-for-like replacements stay available. Specify 50cm only where the kitchen run will not take 60cm.
Can you deliver, install and remove old appliances across multiple sites?
Yes. See delivery options, add installation (Gas Safe for gas models) and book WEEE-compliant recycling of the old unit in the same visit. For phased rollouts we can hold stock against your schedule.
Freestanding cooker or built-in oven and hob?
Freestanding is quicker to swap and needs no cabinetry work, which is why it dominates rental stock. Built-in ovens and hobs, or an oven and hob pack, suit fitted kitchens in developments and owner-occupier schemes.
