How often should carbon filters be replaced?

Typically every three to six months with regular cooking, or as the manufacturer advises. They can't be washed and stop absorbing smells once saturated.

Can grease filters be washed?

Metal grease filters can usually go in the dishwasher or be soaked. Paper or fleece grease filters are replaced, not washed.
