Mixer showers need balanced hot and cold supplies at a suitable pressure. On a gravity system with a weak supply, an electric shower or pump may be needed.

Concealed or exposed valve?
A concealed valve sits inside the wall with only the controls showing, so it's fitted when the wall is open. An exposed valve mounts on the wall surface, which makes it faster to fit and service in a refurbishment.
Does a mixer shower work on any water system?
It works on combi boilers, unvented cylinders and most pumped systems. On a low-pressure gravity system, check the valve's minimum pressure; some need a pump.
What does two outlets mean?
The valve can feed two outlets, such as a fixed overhead head and a handset, or a handset and a bath filler, with a diverter to switch between them.
