Upholstered furniture supplied in rented or holiday accommodation must meet the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 and carry the permanent label. Check the label and product details on the listing before buying for a let.

Will a sofa fit through our door?

Check the sofa's depth and height against the narrowest door and any stair turn. Many corner sofas come in sections, which helps in flats and period properties.
