Does upholstered furniture meet the fire safety rules for lets?
Upholstered furniture supplied in rented or holiday accommodation must meet the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 and carry the permanent label. Check the label and product details on the listing before buying for a let.
Will a sofa fit through the door?
Compare the sofa's depth and height with the narrowest door, hallway turn and stairwell on the route in. Sectional corner sofas and sofas with removable legs are easier in flats.
Do sofas arrive assembled?
Most need minimal assembly, such as fitting legs or joining sections. Check the listing, or ask about assembly on delivery.
Can you deliver and assemble across several properties?
