Larder or under-counter?
A larder fridge is full height with no freezer, giving the most fridge space. An under-counter fridge fits beneath a 90cm worktop and often has a small ice box.
Can a domestic fridge go in a garage or outbuilding?
Only if it's rated for the temperatures there. Check the climate class on the listing; many domestic fridges won't work properly below about 10°C.
How much ventilation does a fridge need?
Check the installation guide. Freestanding fridges usually need a small gap at the top and sides and around 5cm at the back. Integrated models rely on vents in the plinth or housing.
