The Steelmore HC-2 is a double door commercial hot cupboard and plate warmer for hotels, restaurants and schools that need to hold up to 120 plates, or plated meals, at serving temperature. It holds plates up to 320mm in diameter, and its 750mm width suits kitchens with limited floor space.
Installation and Connection
The unit comes with a fitted 13A plug and a 1.2kW rating, so it runs from a standard socket with no hardwiring. It measures H850 x W750 x D450mm and weighs 46kg. The insulated double doors hang on heavy-duty hinges.
Day-to-Day Use and Cleaning
An adjustable thermostat sets the cupboard between 30°C and 80°C, and a specially shaped heating element spreads heat evenly. An illuminated on/off switch shows when it is running, and cool-to-touch Bakelite handles help prevent burns. The interior shelving and plate holder adjust to take food containers, pans or different plate sizes. The stainless steel structure has smooth surfaces for daily cleaning.
