Before you order
Most sink problems on fit day come down to the cut-out, the cabinet or the tap holes.

| Base unit width | The sink's minimum cabinet size, usually 500mm or 600mm for a single bowl |
| Cut-out | Replacing like for like? Match the existing cut-out, or the worktop needs recutting |
| Worktop | Undermount sinks need stone, quartz or solid surface. They can't go under laminate |
| Tap holes | Pre-drilled, pre-scored or none. Most modern mixers need one |
| Drainer | Reversible drainers can be fitted either side of the bowl |
Frequently asked questions
Stainless steel or composite?
Stainless steel is cheapest, hardest to damage and handles hot pans. Composite and granite are quieter, hide water marks and come in colours, but can mark if hot pans are left on them.
Is the waste included?
Most sinks include a waste kit and overflow. Taps are sold separately unless you buy a sink and tap pack.
What is a reversible drainer?
A drainer that can sit on either side of the bowl, so one sink model suits both left- and right-hand layouts. That helps when you stock one model across several properties.
