What width chimney hood do we need?
At least as wide as the hob. 60cm over a 60cm hob is standard; going to 90cm captures more at the edges if the layout allows.
Our ceilings are higher than standard. Will the flue reach?
Not always. Chimney hoods ship with a telescopic flue sized for a standard ceiling. Higher rooms usually need an extension chimney, ordered separately.
Stainless steel or glass?
Stainless steel is the more practical choice for rental and high-turnover property. Glass looks more current and suits higher-value kitchens, but shows grease sooner.
